
Legend of the Week this week is Joel!! He’s been a massive contributor to EUOC this week, hosting pasta night (I’ve heard it was delicious) and planning FWTN (massively enjoyed by all)! He also came second on leg 2 at BUCS relay, his team finishing in 4th!!

When/how did you start orienteering: my friend took me to a local event on my birthday a while ago, then I just kept going from there
Pre race hype song: no, don’t really listen pre race
Go to uni meal: pasta and pesto
Most memorable race: Scottish Schools in p5 – I won, British Night Champs was fun, nice area
Best orienteering achievement: British Nights – 2nd m20! Also bucs relay – 2nd on leg 2
Dream sponsor: inov8 or VJ, non running related would be Aldi – for the free biscuits
Coolest place you’ve run: I did the Saunders a few years ago in Coniston which was really cool, I have also ran through France, Germany, Switzerland in one run
Aims for the year: get faster, I want a fast 5k time and to get faster at orienteering in general
Fave thing about EUOC: it’s quite a small club, I feel like you know everyone and they are all super friendly

Sprint or forest: forest at the moment, it’s more interesting and you have to put more effort into the nav
