European Orienteering Championships 2026

Last week, five EUOC athletes competed against Europe’s best at the European Orienteering Championships in Druskininkai, Lithuania, representing Great Britain and the USA. Our athletes tackled tough terrain across four days of racing, producing some brilliant results for their countries.

Immy was off to a strong start in the qualification, finishing in 20th and making it into the A final!! Just missing out in 22nd was Euan who qualified for the B final alongside Daisy, Charlie and Thomas.

In the long race, Immy finished 41st in the A final, and Daisy was 31st in the B final. Euan had a great run to finish 15th in the B final, with Charlie 37th and Thomas 51st.

There were some impressive runs from the men in the middle race, with Charlie 10th, Euan 11th and Thomas 36th in the B final (1 second separating Charlie and Euan). Immy was once again running in the A final, finishing 70th and Daisy was 55th in the B final.

Moving onto the relay, Immy ran second leg for GBR1, with the team finishing 11th nation and Daisy ran first leg for GBR2, coming back in 26th position. For the men, Euan and Charlie ran first and second leg for GBR 2 with the team finishing in 23rd position.

A huge congratulations to all five athletes for their fantastic performances on the international stage! It was brilliant to see EUOC represented, with some impressive results and valuable experience gained.
