Twist (Long and Short) – A Wee Billygoat

Explanation

This week’s twist comes all away from across the Atlantic courtesy of https://www.billygoat.org/FAQ.html!

The Billygoat is an annual Orienteering event held in Northeast USA that contains a mass start, a ‘skipped control’ and a ‘forked control’. The latter two will be implemented on the long and short courses, and there will be an optional mass start on the long at 1900 as usual.

Skipped Control: During your course you may skip one control. You may choose to skip any control so long as it is not the first control nor the last control (i.e. the control immediately before the Finish).

Forked Control: On your map, there will be one forked control. There will be two different controls with the same number shown on the map; you choose which fork to visit. You may also choose this as your skipped control in which case you visit neither of the controls but that will use up your one skip.

It’s going to be a lot of fun! Not one to miss!
